At JUNE AND JULY, it’s not all about coffee. During our visit last Sunday to Santarém, my girlfriend snapped this picture of me for the website. Later I realised that everything that I’m wearing in this photo, except for my shoes and underwear, is from Folk. Folk is a clothing brand from London -> www.folkclothing.com
Back in the days when I lived in London and worked at the Espresso Room on Great Ormond Street, Folk was just around the corner. They were regulars at our shop and so was I at their first shop on Lamb’s Conduit Street. As a barista, I couldn’t really afford their beautiful clothing, but I kept my wardrobe simple with a few selected pieces. Whenever possible, I would treat myself to something from their shop, and it always felt like money well spent. I love the fabrics, the feel of the clothes, the high quality, and the attention to detail - these are the things I also strive for with JUNE AND JULY.
I still have some of those pieces I bought back then, and whenever I wear them, it brings back fond memories of the good times and the wonderful people.
What I’m trying to say here is that JUNE AND JULY is so much more than just a coffee roastery. It's a feeling somehow....it’s about human connections, passion, love and a mutual value exchange.
Do you have these kind of connections, too? Do you have a favourite brand? And what makes it your favourite brand?
I enjoy going off topic and thinking outside the box, so I will share more about what I love and do apart from coffee.
One love xx
